About Our Logo
Evam
The center's logo features the symbol "Evam" (ཨེ་ཝཾ་), which represents the non-dual unity of absolute truth in Buddhist teachings. The "E" (ཨེ) signifies the emptiness or shunyata aspect, while the "Wam" (ཝཾ) represents the ceaseless appearance and compassionate manifestation of reality.
This "Evam" symbol encapsulates the inseparability of wisdom and method, emptiness and compassion - the essential nature of the Buddha's complete teachings.
The Lotus
Surrounding the central "Evam" is an unalome lotus flower, symbolizing the ability to overcome challenges and obstacles, much like the lotus that blossoms beautifully even from the muddy waters.
Together, the "Evam" and the unalome lotus convey the center's commitment to preserving and sharing the profound Buddhist insights cultivated while inspiring the realization of non-dual wisdom and compassion.
